A Visionary Master-Planned Eco-Community
Bisri Eco City represents RED House's visionary approach for the sustainable development of the Bisri-Achmoun valley in Mount Lebanon, offering a compelling alternative to the traditional Bisri dam project. This master-planned eco-community is designed to be fully integrated with technology and regenerative principles, fostering a harmonious relationship between modern living and nature.
At its core, Bisri Eco City is a sustainable and green community, incorporating advanced green building technologies and limiting traditional automobile access within the village perimeter, favoring electric vehicles and promoting pedestrian and bicycle traffic through extensive walking and biking trails. The community will harness solar and other renewable energy sources to achieve energy self-sufficiency.
Bisri Eco City is envisioned as an off-grid community capable of producing its own food, water, and electricity, aligning with the global "Regen Villages" movement. RED House's mission through Bisri Eco City is to promote experiential learning about meeting human needs for shelter, food, energy, livelihood, and social connectedness in ways that are aligned with the long-term health and viability of Earth and all its inhabitants.
The multifaceted development will encompass:
-
